Another month down! It’s almost Christmas!! I can’t wait to buy a Xmas tree and start decorating. Believe it or not, Mark gets quite into decorating the tree as well. It’s very cute! So let’s jump straight into this months favourites. I have a mixture of beauty, skincare, social media and even some stationary for September. I have a major obsession with notebooks so I may start including them more often in my posts!
First up is the Anastasia Beverley Hills Modern Renaissance Palette. I am so in love with creation from ABH! It has been very popular all over social media and I definitely think it’s worth all the hype. It has a mixture of warm and neutral shades with some red/berry shades included to add that pop of colour. You get 14 eyeshadows, 11 matte and 3 shimmer/satin colours. They are all very easy to blend, highly pigmented and don’t irritate the eyes. You can create so many different looks with this palette and retails for $42 US.
The second product that I have been loving all month is the Maybelline Instant Eye Rewind in the shade medium. I have been using this concealer as my go-to everyday product for work. I don’t like doing a full face of makeup (who has time for that?!), so this really helps even out my skin tone and provides me with that tiny bit of coverage that hides my redness/blemishes. It’s been a lifesaver because it only takes me 5 minutes in the morning to do my whole face. I use this with a bit of tinted brow gel, some lipstick and i’m good to go. It is very affordable so I don’t feel guilty using it everyday either. It retails for $8.99 US or $9.50 AU (Chemist Warehouse).
The last product is the De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray by Urban Decay. I have never really been into setting sprays, but a friend of mine recommended using one to help my makeup last all night. I bought this spray having read great reviews, and it has not disappointed! My makeup doesn’t move. Definitely a winner! It retails for $30 US or $49 AU (Mecca).
This month I discovered a skincare range by Sukin. Not only are they all natural, but they are also very affordable (2 things I absolutely love)! The first product is their Revitalising Facial Scrub (AU9.99). I use it in the shower about twice a week for a gentle exfoliation. I find it leaves my skin feeling smooth, looking bright and is a nice little pick-me-up for when my skin is feeling a little dull.
The second product I picked up is their Super Greens Detoxifying Clay Mask (AU$15.99). Before I bought this I did a bit of research, found so many great reviews and I have to say I agree with them! I use this when I’m having major breakouts or when my skin has been exposed to a lot of toxins (like after I’ve had a big night). It draws out any impurities and leaves my face feeling extra clean and soft. I am very impressed with Sukin, and will definitely try out more of their products in the future!
I’m a huge fan of YouTube (who isn’t these days?). You can find anything on there. My main obsession is makeup (duh), so that is what I use it for mainly. My favourite Youtuber for this month is Casey Holmes. I have been following her for a while but lately her videos have really been my go-to for makeup tutorials. They are easy to follow and recreate, which is what I love most. She is so gorgeous and funny too! Definitely go check her out!
I am obsessed with a brand called Kikki K. I’m sure many people have heard of them but if you haven’t, and you love anything stationary, look them up! I could literally buy everything from them! My go-to for this month is their Daily Note Pad (AU$9.95). I have been using it everyday to keep track of my to-do list, my top 3 priorities, what I am most grateful for and even my water intake. I love it!
So there you have it for September! What have been your favourites lately? I hope everyone had a great month, if not, don’t worry, October is a new month to achieve great things! Talk soon xo
