Yup it’s March already. So that means I’m a few days late to do my February Favourites, try not to hold it against me. This is actually going to be my first “monthly favourites” post and I’m excited to get started! I’m also excited because another month down means the sooner I get to go home (Perth, Australia) to visit my family and friends. In April, it will have been a year since I’ve been home so I’m counting down the days!!
I recently purchased the Mally Nude Attitude Eyeshadow Palette. It comes with 12 shades, consisting of 6 matte and 6 shimmer. It also comes with a double-ended eyeshadow brush and retails for $35 from Ulta Beauty. The shades are so pigmented, really easy to blend and doesn’t irritate my eyes. I actually really love this palette! The price is very reasonable, and I have been able to create some really pretty looks with it. Another beauty product I picked up was the Burts Bees natural lipstick. I purchased 2 in the colours Juniper Water (531) and Brimming Berry (514) from Ulta, and they retail for $8.99 each. They are creamy, moisturizing and the colours are so cute. I also love the fact that they are 100% natural, it’s nice to take a break every now and then from all the other chemicals I’m putting onto my face 😲 .
For YouTube I have been loving Kaushal Beauty. If you haven’t heard of her go check her out, she’s such a natural beauty and is just the sweetest. One of my favourites for snapchat at the moment is Maryam Maquillage (username: MaryamNYC). Her makeup is always on point, seems so nice and is very interactive with her followers. Another thing I love is that she lives in New York which is my favourite place in the world (besides home), so we can catch a glimpse into that NYC life.
I purchased Kate Husdons new book Pretty Happy and am loving it so far. She talks about diet, fitness, self-love, getting motivated, finding happiness, but also includes quizzes to make it more fun and interesting. For magazines I picked up New Beauty (actually the hubby picked it for me so major brownie points there!) and Real Simple. Both fun reads and you can always get inspiration for blog posts.
What have been your favourites for this month? Would love to check them out!
