Welcome to my eye shadow palette collection. It’s not an outrageous amount by any means but I’m very happy with what I do have. These palettes, (apart from the Maybelline nudes) are SO pigmented, easy to blend and have such great colours. I’m really loving matte eye shadows at the moment (who isn’t?), so this collection is largely made up of matte colours with a few shimmery shades.
First of is the Morphe 35N palette. It retails at $39.99 but you can usually get it on sale for $19.99. It comes with 35 colours and they are all matte shades. I love this palette, however I don’t use it as often as I would like because I have very sensitive eyes so when I use the shadows, they tend to feel dry and irritated. It may be from one or more of the ingredients in the product but it makes me so sad because I do love this palette. I would still recommend it, but maybe just be careful if you have sensitive eyes and use eye drops before beforehand.
Second is the Kat Von D Shade and Light eye contour palette. It retails for $46 at Sephora which is pretty pricey, but it is 100% worth it. My personal opinion is that everyone NEEDS this in their life! Can you tell that it’s my favourite eye shadow palette? There are 12 shades, all matte, all highly pigmented, super easy to blend and features three colour quads in neutral, cool, and warm shades. So complimentary and flawless. It is also formulated without parabens, sulfates and phthalates. It has never irritated my eyes and I use this palette every time I wear eye shadow. Love!
Third is the Lorac Pro Matte palette. It retails for $28 and comes with 8, all matte shades. This palette is small which makes it perfect for travelling. The shadows are so pretty, highly pigmented and very easy to blend out. It has never irritated my eyes and is so complimentary. I would definitely recommend this product to everyone.
Forth is the Carli Bybel Eyeshadow & Highlighter palette by BH Cosmetics. It retails at $20 but is usually on sale for $12.50 which makes it very affordable. This palette comes with 10 eye shadow colours (5 matte and 5 shimmer) and 4 highlighter colours and is very pigmented. It is formulated without parabens and has never irritated my eyes. I love the mix of shades and they are all very complimentary. I highly recommend this palette.
Fifth and last, is the Maybelline The Nudes palette. Retails for around $10, depending on where you shop. It comes with 5 matte shades and 7 shimmery shades. It doesn’t have the best pigmentation but you can easily build it up and at $10 you can’t complain too much. You could create everyday subtle looks for work or a family event, and then use the darker shades if you want to go for subtle dramatic look (is that a thing?). I don’t use this palette to often however it is a good size for travelling or putting in your handbag for touch ups.
So there you have it, my eye shadow palette collection. I’m already eyeing off a few new palettes so when I get them I will update. Thanks for reading! Let me know if you have any of these palettes and what you think of them.
